KEF Reserve is the newest gem in the KEF collection by Karas. This characterful red wine boldly combines 60% Haghtanak, an intense and structured Armenian grape, with 40% Malbec, an internationally renowned variety known for its rich aromas and depth. The result is a generous, balanced, and expressive wine.
Born in the heart of the Ararat Valley, Armavir region, KEF Reserve draws its strength from volcanic soils composed of basalt-based clay, volcanic tuff, and alluvial stones. Thanks to a continental semi-arid climate, the grapes ripen slowly, developing concentrated flavors, tannins, and freshness.
The wine undergoes a 20-day fermentation at 26–28°C, then matures for 10 months in Armenian oak barrels, adding finesse and subtle oak notes.
KEF: The Armenian way of celebrating life
KEF means “celebration” in Armenian. The KEF wines embody the joy, warmth, and generosity of Armenian culture. With its refined structure and depth, KEF Reserve is perfect for festive meals, special occasions, and toasting with loved ones. A true tribute to Armenian winemaking tradition, interpreted with elegance.
